Infill Custom Home Building Project

Kitchen

Many clients of ours want to live in Bethesda but finding the perfect home in the right neighborhood with all of the desired amenities isn’t always so easy to find. That’s where we come in. We are experts at infill building. We find the perfect lot in the perfect neighborhood and then build a brand a new dream home where an old structure once stood.

As you can see from the photos, an old home stood on this wonderful lot in a lovely Bethesda neighborhood. Remodeling the existing structure would have been very costly, and in the end, the renovated home would not have all of the comforts and conveniences that a brand new home has to offer. So, we worked with a leading local architect to design a new energy efficient home that would fit within the context of the neighborhood. And then the transformation began.

Our first step was to remove any useful materials from the old house and donate them to a charity. Then the old structure was demolished and construction of the new home started. Footings were installed and the concrete for the basement was poured. After that, the framing, electrical, plumbing and other structural work was done. The exterior of the home was finished with gray concrete siding that will requires little maintenance as the years go by. The completed craftsman-style home blended seamlessly into the neighborhood!

The interior featured over 4,700 square feet of exceptionally well-planned living space and was designed with high-end finishes in a neutral palate that would suit any decorating style. The new home has a gourmet kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 4 and 1/2 half bathrooms, a mud room with built-in lockers, a two-car garage, a walk-out basement and so many amenities that only new construction can offer. And, downtown Bethesda is nearby, as is Montgomery Mall and Wildwood Shopping Center. It’s the perfect home in the perfect location!
