From Traditional To Contemporary

As avid home cooks, our clients wanted to renovate their kitchen to update the style and functionality of the space. They found a photo of a contemporary kitchen that they liked and their plans evolved from there.

The scope of this Potomac, Maryland project expanded, turning the entire main level from traditional to contemporary in design. Some of the rooms were reconfigured to accommodate the enlarged kitchen. The new walk-in pantry took the place of the dining room. That meant that a little-used living room would become the new dining room. The sunroom ceiling was raised, making it look more open to the kitchen and the now-contemporary family room. Light-colored wood floors and new windows throughout the main level give the home a fresh look.
