We found that Meridian’s Michael Lerner and the project manager, met every one of our expectations.

We found that Meridian’s Michael Lerner and the project manager, met every one of our expectations.

Our project involved an extensive remodel. We effectively kept the house’s shell but replaced almost everything inside. The project’s scope included:
  1. flipping the kitchen and dining rooms
  2. replacing portions of roof framing to create a new vaulted ceiling in both the new kitchen and adjacent living room
  3. removing walls on the main floor to create an open concept throughout and adding beams and columns to support the structure in these areas
  4. replacing some windows and adding new ones, including the structure for a new 8 foot x 12 foot full-opening glass NaNa wall
  5. installing all new interior doors, trim and baseboards throughout the house, including a new double entry front door and relocating the garage entry door
  6. replacing a old gas fireplace with a contemporary new gas fireplace
  7. updating five bathrooms
  8. installing some new HVAC ductwork
  9. replacing all lighting with energy efficient recessed LED lights
We initially interviewed Meridian along with 3 other contractors. We were looking for a contractor who provided the best value, not necessarily the lowest price. In addition we wanted someone who would be creative and would pro-actively make recommendations to save money or enhance the project. Having been involved in other construction projects, we knew that not everything would go to plan. We also knew that we would encounter unexpected issues and wanted a contractor who would address them promptly and thoughtfully. However, we also wanted a contractor who would take responsibility for their mistakes and “make it right”. We found that Meridian’s Michael Lerner and the project manager, met every one of our expectations. They were very professional, provided great recommendations and addressed issues fairly and responsibility. We would highly recommend them and would use them again.
